I still intend to sell, but, I may keep this piece. So for those of you thinking the price will come down. I am afraid not, ...Some personal history. I was a radio personality, then after radio (thanks clear channel) I started doing voiceover. Local, and National. I did some stuff on The Outdoor Channel, Golf Channel and radio and TV station nationally. I searched for the best gear I could get. I had an Avalon Vt-737sp, that was good !! But I was still looking to improve the sound. When you get a good mic and preamp, you are good. I've had some great mics. (

But the best preamp I ever had is the one here that I am selling because I really don't want to get back into the game. I have been tethered to that mic cable long enough !
I made some money doing....stuff overseas...now I am retired in Thailand.
I will sweeten the pot a bit. I have some VERY high end cables I won't be needing. One I see made by sweetwater, others mogami, made by another company. (forgot the name) And I will lower the price a bit..

I took a few more pictures, turned it on, ..will miss this piece, but, I don't see doing voice again. Also this pro audio piece would be excellent obviously for singers with the right mic, or any other gear that you want to run through it.
I have had many preamps, this is the best I have had. I just ran it straight through the tubes and it sounds awesome.
I should also point out, I haven't been buying and selling, I have an excellent score, rating ..whatever, but I don't do ebay overseas.
I have been doing Federal Contract stuff all over, I have been gone six years, now have retired, I will come and go from USA when possible.
This is a TUBE TECH MEC-1A in pristine barely used condition, I was a voice guy living in SO CAL, but I was being beat out of gigs partially because of my equipment.  But as soon as I purchased this.. within weeks I shipped off to do overseas security. This recording channel has been in the foam since then. Tucked away in a suitcase, untouched.
I purchase it new from a Canadian company before I left. I then used it for a few hours as I was making new demos. I would say maybe 5 hours on the clock. It was never racked.
As mentioned, I started doing work overseas and now I don't think I will ever do VO again. So, I will sell it as I continue to live overseas.

I purchased this as this is what Don LaFontain used in his home studio.
FYI he also used a Manley Reference TUBE mic which I was going to buy and that was it...in his chain. (simple)
I will retire from VOICE. I did get rid of the cardboard box as it took too much space and I wanted it secure in my new suitcase. This has been in the FOAM in the suitcase and never touched in an controlled environment.
I will have this bubble wrapped, and packed very well, I'll add insurance and ship anywhere in contiguous USA. Free.
I would consider worldwide but additional costs apply. I can absolutely guarantee this piece but .. I live in Asia and I can't accept a return. This piece sounds great, I had it on no filters and a slight compression and I used it right into the recorder, sounded like a 5 thousand dollar piece should. (it's the tubes)
