    Description

Up for auction is an unposted, black and white, Genuine Curteich-Chicago "C.T. Photo-Platin" post card.  It was in 1942 that Oak Ridge, Tenn. came into existence.  This post card features an aerial view of the dormitory housing located there during the development of the materials used in the making of atomic bombs.  Measurements of the card are 3 1/2" long by 5 1/2" wide.  Condition is good.  The paper on both sides of the post card is smooth.  No tears or creases are noted.  The tip of each corner is lightly frayed.  On the back side of the card, a light "scuffing" on the paper is seen.  Also on the back side, in the upper right hand corner, a light brown discoloration is seen both within, as well as outside, the "one cent postage" box.  This  discoloration measures 5/8" long by 3/8" at its widest point.  Please email if you have any questions or a need for additional photos.  This item will only be shipped within the United States.
